Is Liberalism a Mental Illness?

A friend of mine is, like me, something of a tree-hugger. So, she wrote a letter to a US Senate candidate in Michigan, where she lives, to support a clean energy policy. The nutjob, Mike Nikitin, is running with the US Taxpayers Party of MI / Constitution Party. No, I will not run a link to his website or that of his party. His reply to my friend’s thoughtful letter was nothing short of shocking:

Dear [name removed],

If climate change is a ‘serious concern’ for you, I’m afraid I have serious concerns as to whether you are mentally competent.

Scientists can’t predict the weather tomorrow 100% accurately and you think they know what our weather will be like in 50 years?

One volcano eruption puts more polution in the atmoshere than all the cars ever have combined. To suggest we are hurting the planet to the point we are affecting the weather globally is insane.

The dinosaurs were here for millions of years, and didn’t build one SUV. The Earth killed them.

When I was in high school, human pollution was supposed to cause the new Ice Age by the year 2000. It is the same group of communist anti-capitalist anti-American traitors pushing the same agenda – just with a different threat.

I urge you to use your brain and quit accepting every crisis the left promotes to rob you of your money and freedom.

Well Mike,

I see that you are a scary person and I am glad I do not have to see you in person.  Having had a parent in politics while I was growing up, I can see that you would not be a very good one.  Telling someone, who would repeat what you say, that they are mentally incompetant is not the way to gain the confidence of a voter.

I will pray that you are able to find the help you so obviously need.

His reply was even more insane!

I stand for returning this nation back to the Constitution – that made us great – and I am the scary one?

I stand for returning citizen’s property and rights back to them – and I am the scary one?

If you had a parent in politics, it was probably a socialist (Democrat) that pandered and lied to get votes. You are right, I don’t make a good one of those.

Liberalism is a mental illness. Not one liberal policy has ever worked in the history of mankind, and yet people still follow the socialist/communist mantra.

I call that a mental illness. No amount of truth, proof or history stops liberals from voting for their own eventual death or slavery.

If you pray for anyone, pray for yourself. You are the one with the sickness.
