Olympus Capital picked up the last of the money it needed to close its Asia Environmental Partners fund. The group received a $25 million commitment from the IFC, a member of the World Bank Group. The fund invests in Asian renewable energy companies.
The fund is shooting for 12 investment opportunities in the range of $20 million to $50 million, specifically for energy efficiency, cleantech, waste management, clean energy distribution infrastructure, water quality treatment infrastructure and pollution control.
Olympus Capital was established in 1997 and, since then, has put $1.3 billion into around 30 portfolio companies in Asia.
